Many clients are rightly wary of taking on a full rebrand even when their existing brand is failing to deliver. The newly named 3Sphere adopted a completely opposite approach when they decided to ditch the name "Spaceworks". Directors Matt Ellis and Brian Winward were inspired by the possibilities of a new name, identity and attitude to take the company into 2007.

After an extensive consultation process, the name 3Sphere was chosen to represent the three primary core functions of the business: fit out, design and furniture. Having agreed on the new name, Impress began working on a fresh contemporary image and devised a radical and cutting-edge alternative to the previous orange-based corporate identity. The new logo, fonts and strapline were quickly introduced into all relevant marketing collateral promoted via a cracking launch party at 3Sphere's offices in Cirencester.

Just six months later, 3Sphere is established and gaining industry recognition as an ongoing marketing programme kicks in. There remains much to do, but the exercise has succeeded in energising the business, inspiring staff members and attracting noteworthy attention from clients, suppliers and even competitors.
