Agency Web News - June 2010
2nd June 2010

A succession of new website projects is perhaps the strongest indicator that the economy is showing signs of picking up. After seemingly months of indecision, many businesses have now pressed the button on website rebuilds with a view to launching before September.

Impress is delighted to have won commissions in May to build new sites for Thermaglaze, Audience Systems, City Forum and Kontract Interiors among others. These new sites vary enormously in terms of both size and complexity and illustrate the diverse requirements of our client-base. Thermaglaze have opted for a shimmering front-end built in Flash, whilst Audience Systems require a site with a full Content Management System and a Blog; City Forums demands' include an exceptional 'corporate design' in keeping with their new brand identity, plus an events booking system and members log-in area. Kontract Interiors is a very pretty brochure site designed to visually inspire potential new customers who require office fit-out projects.

In addition, we have recently launched a couple of Wordpress-based sites for existing clients; www.downlands-equestrian.co.uk and www.3sphereblog.com; both sites demonstrate the flexibility of 'open source' software which enable Impress to build these smaller entities at speed and within smaller budgets.

Impress Media is an ambitious agency and we are always seeking new web projects from prospective clients who wish to maximise returns from their internet strategies. Please do not hesitate to get in touch for an informal discussion about your requirements.

Babington House Cricket Club - Fixture Card 2010
27th April 2010

As if to prove the advertising sector is not totally dead, we decided to include paid-for ads in the 2010 Babington House Fixture Card. Expecting a minimal response, we were amazed that ten players volunteered cash for such premium brand exposure and Impress duly spent over 30 hours studio time putting the document together.

With the first match due to take place on May 2nd, Babington House CC arguably has one of the most lavish Fixture Cards produced in the history of the game thanks to the contributions from the following sponsors: Boniti, 3Sphere, Sift Media, Savills, Cricket Landscaping, Duo Boots, Just Grenada, Kings Bruton & All Hallows Schools', Tractor Ted and Impress Media.

Domain Name & Hosting Audit - May 2010
27th April 2010

Impress is in the process of conducting a complete Domain Name & Hosting audit throughout April and May.

We currently manage over 500 Domain Names within the agency on a variety of platforms and we are seeking to ensure that all clients are aware of exactly of what IP we hold on their behalf. Within the audit process, we are also ensuring all relevant Domains point at the appropriate sites and purchasing any new domains that we consider of value to our clients.

Domain Name management and Hosting is an increasing facet of our activities and we are shocked by how many clients were blissfully unaware of expiry dates, passwords and technical details regarding the components that actually run their websites and (often) email. The audit process is arduous as we are also unifying suites of domains for various clients such as Boniti and Hotel Grosvenor, only to discover that many Registrars’ are less than helpful when it comes to releasing Domains.

Our advice to one and all, conduct this exercise yourself as one new client came to us having let their Domain Name expire without taking a back-up of the actual site with predictable results.

Impress to Launch 'Love Your Site' Campaign
8th March 2010

As from April 5th 2010, Impress Media is significantly changing its approach to the portfolio of websites we have built or hosted throughout our five year history.
We are launching a digital marketing initiative with the title 'Love Your Site' and will only be focussing on those clients that genuinely do value their online brand position and the work we do.

Frankly, we are very tired of seeing our agency name attributed to websites that have not been updated for years; we are bored of clients choosing to not pay their bills and we are frustrated with bending over backwards for clients who blatantly choose to rip us off; I can only just stop myself publishing a list!!!

We make no apologies if any of the aforementioned sentiments apply to you or your company as we are ambitous and talented people committed to working with like-minded clients who respect the benefits of working with a visionary marketing agency.....

Watch this space over the coming month for more details.....
