Hotel Grosvenor

We cannot pretend that the Hotel Grosvenor  project was easy on account of a variety of factors and circumstances that will strike a chord with many other web agencies.

Impress were commissioned to design the brand identity for the hotel over a year ago and duly delivered an appropriate 'look and feel' for this ambitious business. Not only did we produce the logo and colour scheme, but Impress also chose and sourced a suite of domain names based around the Hotel Grosvenor theme. Given the prevalence of 'Grosvenor Hotels' in the UK, we managed to secure a full set of domains simply by reversing the two words giving rise to the Hotel Grosvenor brand concept in the process.

Sadly, the project then stalled as another so-called 'specialist' agency was commissioned to build the website. Somewhat miffed, we kept our counsel and kept an eye on the .com domain which we were asked to transfer to the new agency.

Predictably, by the time the hotel actually opened the promised website had failed to materialise and Impress were asked to pick up the project again. Despite the pain caused by having to re-secure the domains and integrate the new site into a somewhat tricky online booking system over which we have no control, the new site was launched within six weeks of commission.

The elegant design, streamlined navigation and lovely photography finally ensures that the online presence of Hotel Grosvenor now does justice to the remarkable renovation of the actual building.

Hotel Grosvenor has added a touch of panache to the Dorset social landscape and is already winning plaudits for both its ambitious design and sumptuous product offering.The Greenhouse restaurant is nothing less than superb and is already finding favour with the counties foodie set in addition to visitors from far afield.

All in all, Impress is delighted to have produced both the brand identity and the website for this adventurous business venture which truly deserves to succeed.
